With the release of Marvel Rivals Season 6.5, NetEase is adding many new cosmetic items. While there won’t be a new Battle Pass, NetEase has prepared several new events, new cosmetics in the shop, and more. Some cosmetics will be free, while others can be obtained for as little as 100 Units.
Gambit and Rogue, heroes introduced in late 2025, are getting new event costumes. The popular duo is receiving wedding-themed skins through a limited-time event. However, the event uses a gacha-style system, meaning some players could end up spending thousands of Units for the skins.
How to get wedding skins for Gambit and Rogue in Marvel Rivals?
Mrs. X and Mr. X are new Legendary costumes that celebrate the wedding of the fan-favorite heroes. However, instead of the in-game shop, these costumes can only be obtained through a limited-time event called Wedding Wishes for Mr. & Mrs. X. The event begins on Friday, February 13.
NetEase is bringing back a gacha-style event with the new Marvel Rivals season, as players will have to pop balloons to obtain the new cosmetics. This means that the luckiest ones will get both skins for only 100 Units, while those who aren’t as lucky may spend up to 3,000.
The Wedding Wishes for Mr. & Mrs. X event uses an eight-balloon reward system, with each balloon containing one item from the event pool. The first pop costs 100 Units, the second 200, with the price increasing each time. As soon as you pop the balloon containing the wedding skins for Gambit and Rogue, all the other items will be unlocked automatically.
Considering that Legendary skins typically cost over 2,000 Units each, paying 3,000 for both isn’t unreasonable. However, players who only want one of the skins may be disappointed. The skins may come to the shop at a later date, although this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
The good news is that the balloon system has a spending cap, so players are guaranteed to unlock all the items after spending 3,000 Units.
Before Season 6.5 launches, make sure to check all the new buffs and nerfs in Marvel Rivals. You should also unlock the free emote and all the free Marvel Rivals skins before they expire on Friday.
