Marvel recently posted images of some characters in summer outfits, generating a lot of buzz about summer skins in Marvel Rivals. With summer around the corner, NetEase will likely release more seasonal outfits for many characters. Even though we’re likely a month or two away from them, we may already have the first look at the upcoming content.

The upcoming wave of summer skins may be centered on two popular Duelists in Marvel Rivals, Psylocke and Magik. Considering how much players like both of them, the skins could easily end up being the best-sellers. Here’s what the tease could mean for Marvel Rivals players.

Marvel Rivals may release new summer skins for Magik and Psylocke

Last year’s summer event brought some of the most amazing skins in Marvel Rivals. Players were absolutely stunned by a new design of Luna Snow and Psylocke, while NetEase even released a free Thor skin with the event. Nine characters received new costumes in the first summer event, and this year might be even bigger.

A new post shared by MarvelComicsHQ on X has sparked speculation that NetEase is preparing another wave of seasonal cosmetics for the hero shooter. The post shows a couple of popular Marvel characters, including Magik and Psylocke. It reveals new swimsuit cards that will be released in Marvel Snap, a digital collectible card game.

According to the post, these characters will be featured on Marvel Snap swimsuit variant covers starting in July.

While the teaser itself doesn’t officially confirm the skins for Marvel Rivals, the artwork and timing have players convinced that Psylocke and Magik are next in line for summer variants. The reveal quickly gained traction online, especially considering both characters are among the game’s most popular heroes when it comes to cosmetics and fan demand.

Psylocke has already received several standout skins since launch, including the “Breezy Butterfly” swimsuit cosmetic that arrived during a previous summer event. Magik was not included in the first summer event, but there’s no doubt that her summer skin would be received well by the community.

Marvel Rivals released its first summer skins in July last year, and we expect 2026 to follow the pattern. The game developer may have a few waves of seasonal skins again, with the second one dropping in August or September.

In the meantime, NetEase is getting everything ready for the release of Marvel Rivals Season 8. The new season is rumored to bring two new characters, Cyclops and Devil Dinosaur.
