At the moment, Marvel Rivals is purely a PvP game. However, that will change next week with the release of Marvel Zombies, a limited-time PvE mode. This mode will have players fighting against zombies and two bosses.
When it comes out, players will be able to choose among five characters: The Punisher, Magik, Blade, Thor, and Jeff the Land Shark. Interestingly, all of these characters have new abilities that are not available in regular modes. For example, The Punisher has a self-firing turret, while Jeff can knock enemies down while using his ultimate ability.

The game mode will be played on the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map. Players will be able to queue in solo for it and also bring up to three friends to help them out. Namor and Scarlet Witch will be “massive, oversized” in-game bosses that will be tougher to beat.
The upcoming PvE mode will likely be available for a limited time, and we expect it to last until November 14, which is the release date of Season 5. In the meantime, the Marvel Zombies event promises to bring a thrilling twist to Marvel Rivals, giving players a fresh way to experience the game just in time for Halloween.
