NetEase has announced that the upcoming Marvel Rivals update will introduce several major nerfs aimed at balancing the game. The game developer has listened to player feedback in Season 6.5, with many players pointing to Elsa Bloodstone’s strength as a major concern. As a result, the new Duelist will be nerfed with the next update, alongside three more heroes.
As NetEase explained in the balance post, these changes are designed to be restrained without much impact on the Marvel Rivals meta. The developer has targeted a couple of high-performing heroes, including three Duelists.
Now, let’s get into the details and see all the nerfs waiting for us with the next update.
Marvel Rivals brings nerfs for Elsa Bloodstone and more heroes
Elsa Bloodstone was released on February 13, becoming the game’s strongest hero right away. The Duelist’s kit has been particularly strong, but it’s her ultimate that most players have complained about. Because of this, NetEase has decided to tone it down and reduce the impact of her ultimate ability.
Besides Elsa, the Marvel Rivals developer announced nerfs for Hela, Hawkeye, and Gambit. Considering that these have all been controversial heroes, these changes should make the game more balanced.

Here are all the details about the new update:
Elsa Bloodstone
- Reduces Glartrox’s health from 500 to 400
- Reduces Dash Duration from 6s to 3.5s
- Reduces the enemy grab hitbox by 30%
Hawkeye
- Reduces Piercing Arrow’s Base Damage from 34 to 28
- Reduces the Base Damage of a fully charged arrow from 85 to 70
- When boosted by Archer’s Focus, the damage of a charged arrow is down from 175 to 160
Hela
- Damage falloff of Nightsword Thorn still starts at 18m; at 30m, maximum falloff drops to 70% of the base (was 80%) ; beyond 25m, two critical hits will not KO a 250 HP target.
Gambit
- Reduces base health from 275 to 250
- Breaking Spades now grants 10% Damage Boost (was 15%)
NetEase is continuing to monitor player feedback and test these changes internally. While the upcoming update brings nerfs for a couple of top-tier heroes, the Marvel Rivals Season 7 is expected to introduce additional balance updates.
