Bot matches have been one of the biggest Quick Play complaints in Marvel Rivals since launch, and players still have no official way to opt out of them. A new post on the game’s subreddit reveals a method that can be used to prevent these matches. Interestingly, it simply involves using the Report button.
The method is simple enough. As soon as a bot match starts, report all six enemy players for cheating and select Aimbot. According to the original poster, doing that was enough to keep Marvel Rivals bot matches out of their Quick Play queue for two full days.
How to disable bots in Marvel Rivals?
Reddit user Illustrious_Sell4906 explained that they quit the hero shooter for months because of bot matches and only came back for Competitive, as Quick Play had become unbearable. After seeing this method online and trying it out, they went two days without a single bot lobby, including after four losses in a row.
That detail is very important, as Marvel Rivals bot matches are tied to consecutive defeats. Community testing established long ago that two losses in a row in Quick Play make a bot lobby highly likely, and those lobbies pit four human players and two bot teammates against six bots. This generally results in lopsided victories and amazing stats for human players.

Identifying bots is not difficult, as every bot account sits at a low level and their profiles display restricted access instead of limited access. Furthermore, Marvel Rivals bots follow the same naming pattern, which is usually a compound word that has capitalized letters, such as ShadowBomb.
For now, Competitive mode remains the only guaranteed way to avoid Marvel Rivals bot matches. However, it appears that this method is effective for many players, although NetEase hasn’t confirmed or denied it.
The developer delivered substantial balance changes with Season 10 buffs and nerfs, but once again, matchmaking was left untouched. As a result, players are still looking for ways to avoid bot matches, and they may have finally found one. The workaround isn’t guaranteed to work, but there’s little downside to giving it a try.
