Arrowhead Game Studios has announced the next Warbond release for its popular co-op multiplayer game, Helldivers 2. Dubbed the Helldivers 2 Entrenched Division Warbond, this new World War 2 inspired content drop brings the feeling of trench warfare to the bombastic action game.

Announced in a new blog post, Helldivers 2 Entrenched Division releases on March 17, 2026 on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X. Alongside new armour, the Warbond comes with some brand-new weapons and strategems that will make you feel like you’re fighting along a sci-fi version of the Pacific Theatre.

The new Waarbond brings the glorious B/FLAM-80 Cremator heavy support flamethrower to the game with a massive backpack fuel tank that allows you to spew hot flames into the battlefield. Additionally, the new SMG/FLAM-34 Stoker sub-machine gun comes with an incineration attachment that allows players to quickly let off a burst of flames towards their foes.

Furthermore, the new A/GM-17 Gas Mortar Sentry stratagem allows players to call down an automated turret that fires gas shells, and the brand-new G-48 Giga Grenade throwable is a short-range grenade that sets off a huge explosion. Get in, throw, and sprint like hell out of there.

Maybe less exciting, the new Warbond also comes with new secondary weapons: the P-69 Veto pistol and the entrenchment tool! That’s right, you can now load into a map with an entrenchment tool and dig trenches to your heart’s content!

Alongside all the beautiful new weaponry, the CPG-48 Sapper is a medium armour allows players to store more throwables while also having some much-needed explosive damage resistance. On the other hand, the CPH-26 Commandant light armour allows players to take less explosive and gas damage while also having reduced recoil on secondary weapons.

While the Helldivers 2 team works on continued technical improvements to the game, as well as major new campaigns for the future, this Warbond is shaping up very nicely. As a World War 2 fanatic, this is a brilliant addition to the game, although it would be nice to see some more red strategems join the fray so I can embrace even bigger explosions than my impressive 500KG eagle.
