Arc Raiders developer Embark Studios is currently investigating an issue causing some players to miss out on skill points following the latest Expedition.
In Arc Raiders, Expeditions are long-term optional goals that ask players to give up everything in order to gain a small permanent bonus. While Embark is looking for ways to further incentivise the feature with additional rewards, the game’s latest Expedition is causing issues.
As fans discovered shortly after the game’s third Expedition, the promised 5 additional Skill Points have done a runner. At the time of writing, some unknown issue means that some players have given up everything for no additional points, despite fufilling the game’s requirements.
“I was expecting to start with 16 points, I only have 11 available,” one fan said on the game’s subreddit. “I’ve done every single expedition and I only have 11 points available and I’ve met the requirements each time to collect all points,” said another.
Some fans have claimed that their progress on the Expedition was pushed back to before the final stage just before it ended. However, at the time of writing, the cause for the missing skill points has not been confirmed by Embark Studios.
With that said, Embark has confirmed that it’s “aware of the missing skill points issue” at the time of writing. However, there is currently no word on when the issue will be fixed and players will be rewarded with the give missing points.
“Our team is actively investigating and we’ll keep you posted as soon as we have more information,| the developer confirmed in its official Discord server. Unfortunately, there is now ETA on how long it will take for the issue to be resolved.
Nevertheless, Embark is working on a fix for the issue, which will likely be introduce in a hotfix sometime this week. Additionally, as the issue is likely account-based, players will probably see the missing skill points simply added to their accounts once the issue has been solved.
