Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City comes to Apex Legends in huge crossover event

CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is crossing over with Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends in a massive crossover event for the battle royale game.

Coming after the announcement of Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2, the upcoming Apex Legends X Cyberpunk Event officially goes live across all platforms on July 14, 2026. Alongside introducing new weapon skins and Cyberware mods for Wildcard, the event also comes with its own version of Night City.

The Apex Legends map has been transformed with the new Night City E-District. In this refreshed E-District map, the iconography of Cyberpunk 2077 is all around you as you take our rival runners in the battle royale. While still recognisably Apex, you’ll run around the facsimile of Night City, holographic Koi fish and all.

Of course, the skin game is on point as well with new Edgerunners-inspired skins. If you like Apex Legends enough to spend big, you’ll be able to wear skins that resemble David, Lucy, Rebecca, and others. While Night City may disappear after this event, those skins will remain, although they may look out of place in other seasons.

As for the game’s new Wildcard event, you’ll be able to use two new modifications inspired by the series. Sandevistan does exactly what you’d expect whilst Blackwall Breach “phases you into the Net to reposition, then unleashes a disruptive EMP as you return”.

As you make use of these new abilities, you’ll have to watch out, as cyberpsychosis is prevalent throughout the event. As Cyberware is used in match, you’ll fill up your new Cyberware Capacity metre. If you pass the redline, you’ll go Cyberpsycho, “gaining high movement speed and devastating melee damage, though no weapons, no abilities, no shields, and no ordnance.” Thankfully, if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to find Immunoblocker Syringes throughout the map to keep you in check.

Cyberpunk 2077’s event won’t last forever, although it does look pretty neat if you’re an Apex fan. Maybe we’ll see some of this content recycled in the future when Edgerunners Season 3 is announced—if that ever happens.
