Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows has been a major hit for FromSoftware. While the DLC is currently the studio’s worst-rated release on Steam, the DLC has massively boosted the game’s player count by tens of thousands of concurrents But how well has it sold?
As it turns out, Elden Ring Nightreign’s first DLC is selling extraordinarily well for a post-launch content drop. Less than a week after launch, FromSoftware confirmed that million of copies of the DLC have already been sold across PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
“For every Nightfarer who joined the hunt against the Dreglord, we offer our immense gratitude,” FromSoftware said in an official blog post. “2 Million Nightfarers in search of The Forsaken Hollows. Thank you.”
As the first DLC for Elden Ring Nightreign, there are a few pain points for the new content. Fans have expressed some disdain for the DLC’s new map, called some of the new events unfair, and have been disappointed by the lack of Shadow of the Erdtree weapons.
At the time of writing, FromSoftware has not confirmed any additional DLC for the multiplayer soulslike game. However, considering the massive popularity of the game, and the high sales of this DLC, it would make sense to release additional downloadable content sometime during 2026.
While Nightreign is the focus for now, FromSoftware is also working on additional projects with other teams. For example, the studio is working on continued development of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, which appears to be greatly improved in recent footage.
Additionally, FromSoftware is also working on the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive PvPvE game The Duskbloods, which appears to be inspired by the team’s gothic world of Bloodborne. At the time of publication, very little is known about the game, but that just makes it even more intriguing.
