Everyone’s favourite Spy Kids actor—or more realistically the beloved actor behind Machete—Danny Trejo has joined the rallying cry for a proper remaster of Fallout New Vegas, Obsidian’s amazing 2011 RPG.
With Fallout Day celebrations set to go live later today, all eyes are pinned on Bethesda Game Studios to reveal something relating to the series. However, with renowned leakers telling players to not get their hopes up, and the massive Fallout 76 Burning Springs expansion already revealed, is there anything to look forward to?
Honestly, there may not be, but that hasn’t stopped fans from begging for more Fallout content with many clamouring for a remaster of Fallout New Vegas. While that hasn’t been confirmed, even Trejo has jumped on the bandwagon for a new version of the beloved RPG.
Speaking on Instagram, Trejo—who actually voiced the Ghoul companion Raul Tejada in the open-world RPG—asked for Bethesda to bring the title back to modern gamers. While not a massive message, the actor simply posted: “Remaster New Vegas boss!” to his massive audience of 3.1 million followers.

At the time of writing, Bethesda has not commented anything regarding a brand-new Fallout video game. In fact, it seems that the next mainline game in the series will be due after the release of The Elder Scrolls 6 which doesn’t have a release date or even potential release platforms at the time of publication.
Nevertheless, fans have been asking for more Fallout, especially with the popularity of its TV show introducing millions of additional fans to the unique post-apocalyptic world. With Obsidian wrapping up work on The Outer Worlds 2, there could be space for another Fallout game from that team, although it would still take years to come to fruition.
While Bethesda may not be working on official Fallout games right now, the community is still rapidly creating new experiences. Alongside the impressive Fallout 2 Remake in Fallout 4’s engine, fans are also working on a drop-dead gorgeous FPS remake of the original game in the form of Fallout: Bakersfield.
It’s going to be a very long time until an official Fallout 5 is actually released, and it probably won’t come out until sometime in the next generation of consoles. Nevertheless, there is a willing, almost rabid, fanbase waiting for more, and hopefully Bethesda will find some way to satiate them.
