Deadpool has finally been released in Marvel Rivals. The fan-favorite hero arrived with Season 5.5, alongside Rogue, a new Vanguard. However, while Rogue is a playable character, Deadpool is currently locked. In other words, you can see Merc with a Mouth in the game, but you cannot select him and use him.
If you’d like to unlock Deadpool in Marvel Rivals, our guide has everything you need to know. For the first time ever, NetEase released a locked character. Fortunately, unlocking doesn’t require you to spend Units or any other in-game currency. Instead, it only requires patience.
How to unlock Deadpool in Marvel Rivals?
Deadpool’s abilities in Marvel Rivals will be focused on attacks, as he is another Duelist. NetEase revealed his role with the release of Season 5.5, and interestingly, he was partially released as well. Next time you launch the game, you can see him in the hero wheel, as well as in the hero gallery.
Unfortunately, Deadpool is currently locked, and there is nothing you can do to unlock him. To be more specific, the only thing you can do is wait, as the hero will be automatically unlocked on January 16, 2026.

Wade Wilson will come to Marvel Rivals with Season 6 and will be the first hero in 2026. He will be joined by Elsa Bloodstone, who will likely come out with a Season 6.5 update in February next year. Due to this, you can only unlock Deadpool if you wait long enough.
There is no doubt that releasing Deadpool will positively impact the Marvel Rivals player count. Before he comes out, however, make sure to unlock all the free skins, including those from Marvel Rivals codes and Twitch Drops. For a limited time, you can also unlock Iron Man’s free skin from a new event.
