Helldivers 2 Into the Unjust was a pretty horrid experience. While the campaign saw players jump into Termanid Hive Worlds to crush the insect scum, it also came with a host of major technical issues that Arrowhead have graciously managed to fix.
As a reward for the most dedicated of Helldivers, Arrowhead Game Studios has released a new commemorative cape for players of the campaign. While the Into the Unjust storyline is continuing with the Infiltrate the Magma Planets missions right now, bug-fighters now have a new reward.
Available right now by logging into Helldivers 2, the new black and orange cape is a reminder not only of the trecherous campaign, but everything players went through during that period.
“In recognition of the Helldivers’ historic liberation of the Hive World Oshaune, from which the tyrannical Gloom cloud had emitted and terrorized our citizens, High Command has generously bequeathed them a commemorative cape to wear into future battles. The cape is available to don immediately,” Arrowhead confirmed on social media.
Helldivers 2 has seen some major misteps this year, but the game is still as strong as ever. With a new storyline and new warbonds, Arrowhead’s co-op game is marching forward with a newfound sensse of purpose.
Little is known about the future of Helldivers 2 content right now. (Leaks have actually significantly stopped since the game’s early days.) Nevertheless, Arrowhead is working on additional features for the game which should knock our socks off. Maybe they’ll even knock off a boot.
