Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 is continuing its Into the Unjust campaign after a months-long pause. After numerous patches to fix the game and greatly reduce its file size, players are now shipping off to the Automaton Homeworld in a new war for Universal Democracy.
Announced by Arrowhead, the new Into the Unjust – Liberate the Magma Worlds campaign starts right now on December 3, 2025. Following a previous “fiery” tease by Arrowhead last month, this new update sends players to the magma-filled Automaton homeworld.
“Fight for the future of our bright-eyed voters of tomorrow! The soulless Automaton Legion is plundering the ancient magma worlds and STEALING our priceless resources,” the update’s synopsis reads. “Smother this infernal injustice in all-new missions against mining Bots, ruthless guards, and deadly machinery.”
The magma planets are described as “too hot for humans, too unstable for farming, too explosive for tourism, yet rich in minerals.” Super Earth claims that their Automaton’s illegal mining must be stopped, tasking brave Helldivers 2 players into the burning planets
At the time of writing, the game’s new major order tasks players to completely liberating the planet Fury in the XZAR Sector from the Automaton scum. Players have just 1 week and 5 days to liberate this planet. Alongside Fury, players must also liberate the planets K and Mox, but these planets have a longer mission time of 2 weeks and 2 days.
Liberate the Magma Worlds is the second installment in the Into the Unjust storyline. The first installment in the storyline saw players burst into Terminid hives, blowing them up from within. With this in mind, the third and final entry in Into the Unjust should see players taking the fight to the Illuminate.
