The Arc Raiders Flashpoint update arrived earlier this week, introducing a lot of new content. Embark added the Vaporizer as a new ARC, while Dolabra was released as a new Energy shotgun, among other content. While the update brought numerous balance changes and bug fixes, it added a game-breaking bug that breaks weapons.
Many players have reported a major weapon bug that negatively impacts their experience. In the Flashpoint update, players experience a glitch that makes their guns fire automatically without ever pressing the trigger button.
The issue is widespread, and Embark has acknowledged it.
Arc Raiders has a major weapon bug that causes guns to fire automatically
While the latest Arc Raiders update was generally received well by the community, its launch did not go without any issues. One of the biggest problems is the stubborn bug that causes random weapon firing. It appears that the bug is linked to pressing the trigger button with an empty magazine.
“Pressing fire with an empty mag triggers a reload, and once the reload is complete, the weapon automatically fires a shot without an additional trigger press,” Embark clarified when addressing the bug.

The Arc Raiders weapon bug seems to be more persistent on the Osprey, a popular sniper rifle. Considering that this is a bolt-action sniper, the bug makes the weapon borderline useless. The issue affects many other weapons, including Anvil and Ferro.
Unfortunately, there is no known workaround.
Considering that Embark is aware of the bug, we expect a fix to be released soon. In the meantime, the game developer is working on adding more content in 2026, as the next major update is scheduled for late April.
