A huge Dead by Daylight leak claims to reveal all for an upcoming Jurassic World crossover. A long-dreamt-of chapter, the reportedly upcoming crossover will reportedly bring two heroes and a new dinosaur killer to the game.
According to a recent leak, which should be taken with a grain of salt, the upcoming chapter may be one of the biggest yet. Despite recent layoffs, the Jurassic World chapter is seemingly based on the second film in the World series: Fallen Kingdom.
The leak claims that the chapter will introduce Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas-Howard’s Claire Dearing will act as the game’s new survivors. Additionally, the characters will transform into Alan Grant, Ian Malcom, and Ellie Sattler via legendary skins.
As for the killer, the crossover will reportedly use the Indoraptor, the genetically-engineered villain dinosaur from Fallen Kingdom. According to the leak, the dinosaur will be able to crawl undetected through the map and initiate a short dash that can cause survivors to stumble. Furthermore, the genetically engineered dinosaur can leap over pallets and through windows.
The leak also claims that the Dead by Daylight Jurassic World crossover will also introduce a brand-new map to the game. Jurassic World fans will allegedly be tasked with escaping the original film’s decrepit Visitor Centre from World. There will reportedly be two dinosaur interactions within the map.
Finally, the leak claims that the new crossover will release after the ongoing Bloodbound rift, which would mean it isn’t too far away. However, as with any leak, this should all be taken with a huge grain of salt as there is no official word from Behaviour that this is the next major crossover for the game.
Jurassic World has been a very long-requested crossover for Dead by Daylight for a number of years now. In the past, fans have created their own fan art for a would-be crossover within the game with fans specifically choosing the Indoraptor as their killer of choice. With this in mind, this leak of a dream crossover for fans is more suspect than others.
With that said, it would be cool to see the arrival of the genius, hunter dinosaur into the already bizarre world of DBD. As Behaviour commits to years of additional content for the asymmetrical multiplayer game, there are certainly more crossovers coming in the future.
Alongside further crossover seasons, Behaviour has also revealed that it would like to create more remake chapters, improving past content for modern players. Creative director Dave Richard recently explained that continuing to remake old chapters would be a great idea, but they “can’t promise” anything right now.
