Prepare to reconnect a fractured world once again. Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions are taking us beyond the UCA in Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. In the new title, the focus moves away from the reconstruction of America to a global outreach mission. Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus reprising the role) returns alongside Fragile (performed by Lรฉa Seydoux) to explore a world that feels even more alien and unpredictable than before. Letโ€™s find out when we can begin another surreal journey from the comfort of our PCs.

Platforms and Technical Specs

The PC version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is developed by Nixxes Software, renowned for their high-quality PlayStation-to-PC ports.

The PC version features uncapped framerates, 21:9 and 32:9 Ultra-Widescreen support, and advanced upscaling via NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3.1, and Intel XeSS. In addition, thereโ€™s full DualSense integration (Haptics/Triggers) when connected via USB, alongside complete mouse and keyboard remapping. Prepare at least 150GB of SSD space, however.

Gameplay Features

The core "traversal-action" loop returns, but On The Beach introduces a significant shift in scope. Sam is no longer limited to his own two feet; the DHV Magellan, a floating mobile base of operations, serves as your customizable hub that moves across the map.

The environment itself has become a more active adversary. Dynamic floods, wildfires, and earthquakes can permanently alter the landscape during a delivery, forcing you to recalculate your route in real-time. Sam can also discard his backpack to engage in more agile CQC, and he is accompanied by a live puppet companion who provides real-time narrative context during the long treks through the game's vibrant new biomes.

New to the PC version are "Chiral Challenges", which are special time-attack delivery missions optimized for higher refresh rates, allowing you to compete on global leaderboards.
