The next few days will be exciting for Fortnite players, as Epic Games will release a new season. Epic has been teasing the upcoming content for the past few weeks, hyping up the community. Unfortunately, the new season will also bring a V-Bucks price increase, which is not something the community is happy about.
While the fans are excited about the content, many of them are planning to boycott Fortnite after the V-Bucks news. Epic recently addressed the complaints, promising big things in Season 2. However, the company did not reveal whether the pricing change will be reverted.
Epic Games responds to angry Fortnite players over V-Bucks price increase
To offset the increase in V-Bucks prices, Fortnite will lower the price of every seasonal pass in the game, including the Battle Pass. Furthermore, Save the World will become free in April, giving players hundreds of hours of content to enjoy. While this is positive news, most players care about Item Shop cosmetics, and unless Epic lowers their prices, the upcoming season could be a disaster.
“Thank you everyone for sharing your feedback not just about the V-Bucks changes but your feelings about this current season and the game overall. Teams are cooking a ton on next season, and there’s more to share soon,” an Epic Games employee posted on Reddit.
Unsurprisingly, the comment has received nothing but downvotes and negative responses.

The comment reveals nothing about the V-Bucks prices, so it’s unlikely that Epic will revert the change. The next Fortnite season is set to begin on March 19, a few days after the final live event of Chapter 7 Season 1. The game developer may change the decision by then, although there is no indication of that.
In the meantime, make sure to unlock all the free V-Bucks, as they will expire with the release of the new season. Furthermore, some of the free Fortnite skins will also no longer be available, so add them to your locker before it’s too late.
