Fortnite has brought back some ultra-rare cosmetic items over the past few months. Even Renegade Raider, the popular skin from the first season, returned in late 2024, showing that no skins are safe. While Epic Games clarified that old Battle Pass cosmetics won’t return, everything else will come back to the shop, sooner or later.
Epic will bring back several rare Fortnite skins in January 2026. In fact, one of them will come out shortly after the next Fortnite update comes out, as its release date is set for Saturday, January 10.
Fortnite will bring back rare skins and packs soon
Epic Games will bring back three rare packs this month, and one of them has been vaulted for three years. These packs have been vaulted for a long time, which is why many players have been waiting for them. If you are one of these players, you are in luck, as this month’s Item Shop will be stacked.
Right after we get Fortnite x South Park skins, Epic will bring back the Bassassin Quest Pack. The pack will come out on Saturday, and it was last available in February 2024. It contains the Contract Giller, a back bling, and quests for 1,000 V-Bucks. Considering that it costs $8.99, it’s one of the best deals in the game.

Later in the month, the Fortnite creator will unvault Darkfire and Deep Freeze bundles. The Darkfire Bundle was last available in September 2023, while the Frostbite skin, featured in the Deep Freeze bundle, was last seen in January 2023, making it one of the rarest packs in the game.
