Fortnite will finally release the long-awaited South Park collaboration. The animated show will arrive on Friday, January 9, and most of the new content has already been revealed. This will be a big collab, as Epic Games has prepared new items, cosmetics, map changes, and even a couple of free cosmetics.
Many iconic characters from the show, including Cartman and Butters, will be added as skins. Towelie is a new Sidekick, while the Fortnite x South Park partnership will also bring a new game mode, allowing you to team up with four of your friends.
Now, let’s check everything we know about the free cosmetics.
Several South Park cosmetics will be free in Fortnite
Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, and Butters will all arrive with the next Fortnite update this Friday. Epic will release these cosmetics to the Item Shop, although their price hasn’t been revealed yet. In addition to them, the game creator will release many other items, including free ones in a mini pass.
According to Hypex, the most popular leaker, Fortnite will add a mini pass with the upcoming collaboration. The pass will have free rewards, but they haven’t been revealed yet.
Hypex has clarified that South Park skins will be released in the Fortnite Item Shop. Due to this, you will likely be able to unlock pickaxes, back blings, and other cosmetics through the pass. With the next update set for Friday morning, we will find out more information about the collaboration shortly after the downtime ends.
Besides the new collab, the upcoming update will also release a controversial pay-to-win feature. On the other hand, you can still unlock a couple of free Fortnite skins and even some free V-Bucks, so make sure to do so before they expire. Furthermore, you can take advantage of the best XP maps in Fortnite to level up the Battle Pass and unlock more rewards.
