Fortnite is bringing back one of the game’s most iconic live events this weekend. Epic Games has confirmed that the Unvaulting event will return on Sunday, June 14, giving players another chance to decide which vaulted item comes back to the island.
The original Unvaulting event first took place in Chapter 1 Season 8, when players entered the Vault beneath Loot Lake and voted on an item to return to the loot pool. This weekend, Fortnite OG players will get to experience the very same interactive event. The event will once again allow the community to shape the game by choosing which item returns to the game.
When does the Fortnite OG Unvaulting event start?
Epic Games has confirmed that the Fortnite OG Unvaulting event will begin on Sunday, June 14, at 2 PM Eastern Time. Players should make sure to join an OG match no later than 1:50 PM ET, as all damage will be disabled 10 minutes before the event begins.

To watch the Unvaulting event, Fortnite players need to jump into a match by 1:50 PM ET, 10 minutes ahead of its start time. Epic Games will disable all the damage, ensuring that all the participants stay alive and vote for the item to return to the game. Once the event begins, players will head into the Vault beneath Loot Lake and cast their votes using Pickaxes.
The available choices are the Bouncers, Drum Gun, Grappler, Infinity Blade, X-4 Stormwing, and Tactical Submachine Gun. At the end of the event, the item with the most votes will return to the OG island. Just like the original Unvaulting event from 2019, the outcome will be determined entirely by the community.
Fortnite Unvaulting event countdown clock
The easiest way to see when the Fortnite live event begins is by checking out the countdown clock. Once the clock hits zero, the event will begin. However, if you intend to participate in it, make sure to get into the match at least 10 minutes before the countdown ends.
