Fortnite hasn’t even released the new Ballerina Cappuccina skin yet, but players are already calling it the worst the game has ever seen. The reaction started shortly after the latest update and hasn’t slowed down since. Now, early data suggests it’s already the lowest-rated skin in Fortnite history.
Adding another brainrot character is on brand for Fortnite. After all, Epic Games has released diverse characters, from Marvel’s heroes and cartoon icons to basketball superstars and artists. Now, it’s time for brainrot content, which is somewhat controversial.
The upcoming skin was added with the April Fools update, and the data shows that no worse skin has ever existed in Fortnite.

Ballerina Cappuccina is the worst Fortnite skin of all time, and it’s not even close
The upcoming cosmetic features a ballerina-style character with a cappuccino cup for a head, giving it a strange and uncanny look. Ballerina Cappuccina has become one of the most popular characters online, so it’s only logical for Epic Games to bring her to Fortnite. While the character has gone viral, this hasn’t translated to player feedback.
According to Fortnite.gg, Ballerina Cappuccina currently sits at the very bottom of the rankings. Not only this, but it’s at the very bottom of the list, receiving much worse ratings than the second-worst skin in the game. Only 6.78% of the website visitors have rated the skin positively at time of writing, which is too low. To put it in perspective, the next lowest-rated skin is Derby Dominator with 9.07%, while top-rated skins are typically in the high 80% range.
There’s a lot of negativity surrounding the release of Ballerina Cappuccina, although her release date hasn’t been revealed yet.

Tung Tung Tung Sahur is another character that arrived with the latest Fortnite update. Like Ballerina Cappuccina, this skin has received mostly negative reviews and is one of the 50 worst skins ever added in Fortnite. Unsurprisingly, the situation is the same with the Plungerman (Skibidi Toilet) skin.
Fortnite has increasingly leaned into meme and brainrot content, pulling inspiration from viral internet characters and odd designs. While this strategy has helped the game stay culturally relevant, not every addition lands with the community. This could also be the reason why Fortnite’s cultural impact is starting to fade, according to a new report.
Despite the backlash, these types of cosmetics often perform well commercially, especially among younger audiences. With no confirmed release date yet, it remains to be seen whether player sentiment will shift or if this will go down as one of Fortnite’s most divisive skins. However, it won’t be surprising if the skin ends up on the best-sellers list.
In other shop news, it appears that Fortnite is gearing up to re-release its rarest emote of all time. In addition to paid cosmetics, players can unlock a couple of free Fortnite skins this season, as well as free Kicks.
