Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launched to critical acclaim last month, despite the game’s notorious performance issues on all platforms. While the game has been well received, the remake of Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid 3 launched without its brand-new multiplayer mode: Fox Hunt.
A hide-and-seek themed multiplayer mode centred around the game’s camouflage system, Fox Hunt is a brand-new online mode that’s never been seen in an MGS game before. Only tiny scraps of gameplay have been revealed—mostly a scene of a man camouflaging into a wall—but Konami is set to show all in just a couple of days.
At the time of writing, Konami has scheduled a brand-new Metal Gear Production Hotline episode on YouTube to coincide with Tokyo Game Show 2025. The new showcase is focused on new information surrounding the Fox Hunt multiplayer mode.
Set to go live on September 25, 2025 at 11:30 Japan Standard Time (That’s 3:30AM BST), the new Production Hotline will be an hour long with new information relating to Fox Hunt and the future of the Metal Gear Solid series.

Konami previously revealed that the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater project was an essential part of training a new generation to make more MGS games. Alongside the brilliant Silent Hill F, which we reviewed here, Konami has huge plans for the future of its mainline franchises.
Alongside the Production Hotline, Konami has also sent out a survey to MGS fans asking for which titles they’d like to see remade following Snake Eater. Reported by Insider Gaming, the survey asks whether players would like to see the following games remade in the same vein as Delta:
- Metal Gear
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
- Metal Gear Solid
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
- Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
- Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Furthermore, rumours have claimed that a second remaster collection is in the works for modern consoles that would bring basic remasters of MGS 4, Peace Walker and more back in HD. While the initial Master Collection of the original trilogy released in a rough state, multiple patches made the collection a great way to play the older MGS titles.
Finally, Konami may also officially reveal the leaked collaboration with Delta Force, a free-to-play Battlefield-like shooter.
