Following the largely-positive launch of Konami’s recent launch of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Konami is looking to keep the MGS momentum going. In a surprise move, Konami and Team Jade are working on a major collaboration for the multiplayer game Delta Force.

Delta Force, which launched in January 2025, is a free-to-play Battlefield clone built in Unreal Engine 4. Available on console, PC and mobile, the game has enjoyed a massive player count over the past few months, and it seems Konami has noticed.

Multiple posts across social media have caught teases of a full Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater collaboration for the free-to-play shooter. One post shows a character peering into the hole of Snake’s cardboard box with the following text: “Huh, just a box? New collaboration coming soon”.

Another post from the Chinese version of Delta Force shows the collaboration in full with a massive image of Snake with both the Delta Force and MGS Delta logos on display. However, no release date was shared for the upcoming collaboration.

In the past, Delta Force has collaborated with Saw, Arknights and more. Past collaborations have largely focused entirely on cosmetic skins without any unique game modes to support them, and we’d assume this partnership is more of the same.

While Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launched entirely as a single player product, Konami is also working on a new multiplayer mode for that title. Dubbed Fox Hunt, this multiplayer mode will not be a repeat of the beloved Metal Gear Online multiplayer seen in past games, but is instead a hide and seek style game focusing on MGS3’s detailed camouflage systems.
Fox Hunt is expected to release sometime in Fall 2025, but the multiplayer mode has already been criticized for its complete lack of cross-play on launch with players stuck exclusively with players on their platforms.
