Deadpool is the next Marvel Rivals hero, and he’s already visible in the game. NetEase added him with the release of Season 5.5, alongside Rogue, although he’s currently locked. Initially, Deadpool’s role was a Duelist (damage dealer), but the latest update changed it. Now, the fan-favorite Marvel character is a Vanguard (tank).
Interestingly, this may not be his final role. Season 6 will drop in mid-January 2026, bringing both Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone. Before the season comes out, though, we expect NetEase to tease us even more with the next character, and his role should be confirmed right before his release.

To unlock Deadpool in Marvel Rivals, you will have to wait a few more weeks. Merc With the Mouth was revealed at The Game Awards, and NetEase added him to the game right away. He was shown as a Duelist in the hero gallery, but that is no longer the case.
The latest Marvel Rivals update changed Deadpool’s role to a Vanguard. Due to this, there is a good chance that the character will be a new tank. However, it’s important to note that this may not be Deadpool’s actual role in the game.
