Marvel Rivals just dropped the first content update of Season 6. NetEase has addressed several issues with it, fixing one of the biggest problems with Deadpool, a new hero. On top of this, the game developer added two new cosmetics, which will be available on Thursday night, and changed two maps.
The addition of Deadpool has turned out to be the perfect move, as the Marvel Rivals player count skyrocketed. Unfortunately, the new character has several major issues, and it’s good to see NetEase addressing them so early in the season.
Marvel Rivals patch notes reveal fixes for Deadpool
One of the worst things about Deadpool was all the visual clutter the character brought. While his abilities are fun, and he’s arguably one of the strongest heroes in Marvel Rivals, playing with him or against him hasn’t been fun. Fortunately, the latest update fixed the visual clutter, making the game more enjoyable.
Here is everything that changed with Deadpool:
- Strategist: Healing visual effects triggered by katana strikes have been polished up
- Vanguard: The area Bonus Health visual effects are now clearer after passing the upgraded “The Big Test”
- All Deadpools now get improved trailing and afterimage effects
- Adjusted visual clutter from the “Deadpool In Your Area” ability for all roles, as they won’t block the entire screen anymore

While these improvements should make Marvel Rivals more enjoyable, NetEase will keep an eye on Deadpool’s visual effects and continue to polish them if necessary.
The next update should bring balance changes, so it will be interesting to see if Deadpool will be affected by them. The new hero has only been out for less than a week, so it’s no surprise that many players haven’t figured out how to counter him yet. However, the balance update may nerf his ultimate ability, which has been a major problem.
In the meantime, don’t forget to get a free Battle Pass on TikTok. You can also unlock several free Marvel Rivals skins this season or add new cosmetics using Marvel Rivals codes.
