Deadpool is now available in Marvel Rivals, but the first 24 hours with him have been a nightmare. He is very fun to play with and can perform every role. Precisely because of this, the popular comic book character is nearly impossible to balance. Due to this, it’s no surprise that he’s been overpowered on the first day.

Now, it’s important to note that most new heroes are either underpowered or overpowered on their launch day. However, the Merc with a Mouth seems to be a special case, as he can charge up his ultimate ability in only a few seconds. To make things worse, you can’t even ban Deadpool in ranked mode.

Is Deadpool meta in Marvel Rivals?

Deadpool is arguably the most powerful hero in Marvel Rivals at the moment. He can literally do anything on the battlefield, and NetEase even released special ultimate mechanics for him. Instead of charging his special ability gradually, Deadpool can get it to 100%, or well, to S, in less than five seconds.

If you use Deadpool as a Strategist, you can simply jump on your teammates to heal them up and charge up your ultimate. In fact, you only need five bounces to charge up your ability and use it. Once it’s depleted, you can charge it up again after a 40-second cooldown.

Deadpool’s ultimate ability for support is called Pwnage Pound. With it, the character selects an enemy to taunt, and whenever the enemy misses an ability during the ultimate duration, they suffer extra damage. At the same time, Deadpool and his nearby allies gain healing over time.

To make things even worse, you can avoid the 40-second cooldown by simply dying. If your spawn point is close to the fight, you can simply wait for a few seconds to respawn and charge up your ultimate again. Furthermore, Deadpool can upgrade all of his abilities, including his ultimate, making it even more effective.

If you thought that Luna Snow or Mantis ulting was too much, wait until you are faced against a support Deadpool. In his current state, the new hero is undoubtedly broken and deserves a ban in ranked. Unfortunately, you can only ban his individual roles, so it takes three bans to completely remove him from a ranked match.

If you haven’t caught up with all the changes yet, make sure to check the patch notes before getting into your first match. You can also unlock free skins in Marvel Rivals in Season 6, and one of them is for Deadpool. If you need more cosmetics, check out all the active Marvel Rivals codes.
