Latest Marvel Rivals patch notes reveal free skin, new event, and more

Marvel Rivals just released another patch, and its notes are now available. The patch brings a long-awaited Halloween event, a PvE game mode, and new cosmetics. One of these cosmetics is a free skin, which can be obtained by simply playing the game.

The new event will run until the last day of Season 4.5, which is November 14. This gives players more than enough time to unlock the free skin and check out all the other content that was just released.

What did the latest Marvel Rivals update bring?

The highlight of the latest Marvel Rivals update is a PvE mode. The zombie apocalypse has started, and players can pick one of the five heroes to fight back. Unfortunately, due to performance limitations, this new game mode is not available on PlayStation 4.

The Voyage to Astonish event is also live, and it brings two skins. One of these is Blade Knight, a free costume that can be earned by completing event missions. The other one is Peni Parker’s Floral Frights costume. Both of these will be available until November 14, alongside other event rewards. Interestingly, the official Marvel Rivals patch notes claim that these are all exclusive rewards.

Patch notes also reveal the upcoming shop skins and cosmetics:

Jeff the Land Shark – Jeff O’Lantern Bundle
Namor – Phantom Tide Bundle
Jeff O’Lantern Ultimate Ability VFX

In addition, NetEase will release a free Pumpkin Curse emote for all heroes on Friday, while new Twitch Drops will be available on October 27.

Finally, the update brings the following fixes:

Hulk’s Radioactive Lockdown Control: Fixed a glitch where terrain KOs didn’t register
Captain America’s Connection Conundrum: Fixed network issues with Fearless Leap
Blade’s Bloodline Boost: Fixed lingering attack speed stacks from Bloodline Awakening
Scarlet Witch’s Stuck Spell: Fixed an issue preventing movement after her Ultimate
Adam Warlock’s Cosmic Conundrum: Fixed a bug teleporting revived allies to spawn
Daredevil’s Dual Dilemma: Fixed issues when using Devil’s Latch and Objection! too quickly
