As Marvel Rivals Season 8 looms, there’s already growing speculation about two new Heroes joining the roster when it lands. Both Cyclops and Devil Dinosaur were teased together in a single gallery card, which suggests the pair could be on the way.
New Heroes: Cyclops and Devil Dinosaur Confirmed?
Heroes are typically teased on Rivals Gallery Cards before they come to the game, which was the case for Black Cat and White Fox, so they’re usually reliable. While there has been no confirmation on the abilities each of the Heroes will have, Cyclops will obviously have some sort of laser-focused attack, while Devil Dinosaur will likely make use of his razor-sharp teeth to deal devastating damage. Cyclops joins other characters from the X-Men universe, including Jean Grey (Phoenix), and adds further weight to claims that Professor X will be coming to the game.

Elsewhere, renowned leaker X0XLEAK has hinted at a number of new skins coming to the game. Potential highlights include a recolour for Hulk, and a number of Original skins coming for the likes of Black Widow, Gambit and Rogue. Additionally, Iron Man and Winter Soldier are set for a recolour, with the latter likely getting a Space Outlaw skin. None of this has been confirmed, so we’ll need to wait and see. Skins typically appear when a new season launches, so we’d expect these to drop when Season 8 lands, either as in-shop purchases or as part of the Battle Pass.
Despite the leaks giving insight into what’s coming next, game director Guangyun Chen told FRVR that leaks are actually always “frustrating”, especially when an update has been in the works for a long time. “While leaks are often a natural byproduct of a passionate community and modern live-service development, they can be frustrating for a team that has spent a year or more planning a ‘big reveal’,” the director said.
Marvel Rivals Season 8 is set to land on May 15.
