Marvel Rivals Season 8 has just begun, yet we already have leaks about Season 9. These leaks potentially reveal two new heroes who will join the lineup this summer. The next season is scheduled to launch in mid-July, and its characters may no longer be a mystery.
Earlier this year, Miller Ross, a reputable insider, shared some hints regarding upcoming heroes. So far, these hints have proven to be accurate, as the latest season brought Devil Dinosaur, with Cyclops coming in June. Ross has also revealed some information about Season 9 heroes, and here’s what we know about them so far.
What Marvel Rivals heroes will come in Season 9?
Despite Season 9 being two months away, players are already speculating about the next heroes. According to Ross, the next season will bring a heavy-hitting B-list character, alongside a C-list character. In addition to this, the Marvel Rivals insider has shared the following regarding Season 9 heroes:
- One character will be a Vanguard, and the other one a Strategist
- They come from different corners of Marvel
- One character is less of a hero than the other
- One character is beloved in the community
- There is something unusual with one of the characters
- This likely refers to the implementation in the game as opposed to the comics
While the exact heroes haven’t been revealed by NetEase yet, many players believe that these hints refer to Jubilee and The Hood. Some other theories include Professor X, although Ross has clarified that the B-list character is not bald.

Jubilee would make a perfect Strategist, and NetEase has already worked on her. Dataminers have revealed some of her abilities in the game data, which are as follows:
- Fireworks
- Atomic Bomb
- Atomic Bomb-Excitation
The member of the X-Men would be a fantastic addition and could be the beloved B-list character that Ross referred to. She was first discovered in the game files in early 2025, and NetEase may have already finished her development.
On the other hand, The Hood has appeared in a Marvel Rivals Infinity comic earlier this year. He was also found in the game data in late 2024, but NetEase removed his references with the release of Season 5. Ross believes that his files were temporarily removed, which means that the hero may still be in development.
For now, NetEase has revealed all the upcoming content with a Season 8 roadmap. Unfortunately, this doesn’t include new summer skins, which will likely come in either June or July. The new season has brought a couple of free skins as well, and more free cosmetics can be unlocked through Marvel Rivals codes.
