Konami and Screen Burn’s upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive, Silent Hill Townfall, may not be an exclusive for long.

As Konami continues its push to make Silent Hill an annual horror franchise, the Japanese gaming icon has also pushed to bring the series to more gamers. Silent Hill F, for example, launched day-and-date on PS5, Xbox and PC, but Townfall—like the remake of SH2 before it—is launching only on PS5 and PC.

With that said, Silent Hill Townfall’s exclusivity period has now been confirmed, and it seems that the horror game could come to other platforms relatively quickly. As stated in the fine print of the title’s latest gameplay trailer, exclusivity is only required for a total of six months.

“Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least 6 months after release date, the small print reads. As Townfall comes to PlayStation 5 on September 24th, 2026, this means that the game could come to other platforms—such as Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2—as soon as March 2027.

With that said, it’s not known if a version of the game is currently in development for other platforms at the time of writing. Furthermore, it’s not known if Konami and Screen Burn have plans to launch a Xbox or Nintendo Switch 2 version of the horror game, although it is quite likely.

Silent Hill 2 Remake, the last game in the series to launch exclusively on PlayStation 5, had a one year exclusivity period. This saw the game locked to PS5 and PC from October 2024 to October 2025. However, a Xbox port of the game didn’t release until November 2025. Additionally, a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game has yet to be announced.

Nevertheless, it seems likely that the game will come to Xbox Series consoles eventually, although a Switch 2 port is up in the air. To this day, none of Konami’s recent Silent Hill games have launched on Nintendo Switch 2, although considering every game has launched on Xbox Series S, ports seem highly possible.

Silent Hill Townfall launches on PlayStation 5 and PC on September 24th. The game isn’t set in the titular town of Silent Hill, but instead the fictional Scottish island of St. Amelia, and is created by many of the devs behind the brilliant Alien Isolation.
