Aspyr Media has announced a full remaster of Warren Spector’s original Deus Ex game. Announced alongside the Saros release date at Sony’s State of Play, the original choice-based RPG is back in full.

Originally released at the turn of the millennium, Deus Ex Remastered takes the original game and gifts players to a graphical facelift that aims to stay true to the original.

Designed for modern consoles and PC, the game’s control scheme has been completely reworked. Previously, the RPG released on Sony’s PlayStation 2 in a cut down form with rather heinous controls, but Aspyr’s remaster aims to bring the full experience to all players.

Alongside the new visuals and overhauled controls, Aspyr Media is offering unconfirmed “modern enhancements and quality of life improvements”.

“The year is 2052. Societies are teetering on collapse, plagues spread unchecked, and shadow governments shape the future,” reads the game’s official synopsis. “You are JC Denton—a nano-augmented UNATCO operative tasked with protecting order. But the deeper you dig, the more lies you uncover. What begins as a mission becomes a fracture point in human history.”

Deus Ex Remastered launches on March 5, 2026.
