Fortnite will soon bring back its rarest skin of all time. Epic Games has updated the elusive cosmetic item with the latest update, setting it up for unvaulting. Thanks to this, millions of players will get a chance to get the skin for the first time.
As of March 20, 2026, one of the rarest skins in Fortnite is Rogue Agent. The skin was released in March 2018 and has been vaulted since June 11, 2018. In other words, it was last available during Chapter 1 Season 4. Fortnite has drastically changed since the rare skin was last available, and now has over half a billion total players, many of whom will look to grab it when it returns.
Will Rogue Agent return to the Fortnite Item Shop?
The rarest Fortnite shop skin of all time is Rogue Agent, which was available in the first-ever Starter Pack. Unlike many other skins in the Item Shop, this one cannot be obtained with V-Bucks. Instead, players who want to get it will have to purchase the Rogue Agent Starter Pack, which typically costs just under $5.
Several reputable Fortnite leakers, including Hypex, have revealed the return of the skin. While its re-release date hasn’t been revealed or leaked yet, we expect it to hit the shop by mid-April 2026. Fortnite Save the World is becoming free on April 16, and there’s a good chance that the skin will return by then.
In addition to the rarest Fortnite skin of all time, the Starer Pack also includes the Catalyst back bling and 600 V-Bucks. This makes it a perfect purchase for anyone looking to obtain a couple of items and V-Bucks for cheap. With new V-Bucks prices, the bundle would likely cost at least $15 if it was available for V-Bucks.
As Epic Games previously confirmed, older Starter Packs will return to Fortnite. Due to this, it’s only a matter of time before the other rare cosmetics come back to the Item Shop.
In the meantime, players can grab a few free Fortnite skins, including a new Yeddy skin. With a new Battle Pass out, players can also use some of the best XP maps to level it up faster and unlock new rewards.
