The latest Marvel Rivals update introduced a new season, Deadpool, a new Battle Pass, and numerous balance changes. These changes have shifted the meta, forcing players to adapt. While NetEase has released details about most of them, there is one secret change that hasn’t been posted in the patch notes.
Season 6 is certainly loved by tank players, as several Vanguards have received significant buffs. Venom did not appear in balance changes, yet he may have received the biggest buff out of all heroes. Next time you play him, you will notice the difference, as the tank can now hit his shots more consistently.
Was Venom buffed in Marvel Rivals Season 6?
The new season of Marvel Rivals did bring a secret buff for Venom. While this change wasn’t documented in the patch notes, it’s very easy to spot, especially for those who have used the hero in the past.
With the latest update, Venom hits his shots more consistently, which allows him to deal more damage. Before Season 6, the symbiote struggled to land shots against his enemies, often resulting in misses. While this wasn’t that big of a deal, since his primary job is not to deal damage, the undocumented Marvel Rivals buff has made him much more effective.

Considering that Venom was one of the worst heroes in terms of win rate in Season 5.5, this change should make it easier to rank up with him. However, the new season has only been out for a few days, so we will have to wait a week or two to get early data.
